NearUS shows you what's actually happening around you right now — parties, pickup games, live music, pop-ups — on a live map, not an algorithm feed.

Free to use · Just create an account to get started

Real people, real places, real moments.

NearUS turns your map into a live feed of what's happening around you — hosted by the people actually throwing it, not a company deciding what you should see.

Discover

Open the map and see what's live near you right now — parties, games, shows, and pop-ups, sorted by distance and time.

Host

Post your own event in under a minute. Set it public, private, or just for your group, and watch people show up.

Show Up

RSVP in one tap and see who else is going, so you always know what you're walking into before you get there.

How it works

No feeds to scroll. No algorithm deciding what you see. Just what's actually near you.

01

Open the map

NearUS opens straight to your area — no searching, no setup. Everything nearby shows up automatically.

02

Find what's happening

Filter by Party, Music, Sports, Food, or see it all. Tap a pin to see who's hosting and who's already going.

03

Tap in and show up

RSVP and go. It's that simple — the app's job is done once you're out the door.

Built for real events, not endless scrolling.

Every other app shows you things that already happened, posted by people who aren't near you. NearUS shows you what's happening right now, close enough to actually go.

Everywhere else

An endless feed of the past

Ranked by an algorithm. Posted hours or days ago. Could be from anywhere.

NearUS

Sorted by distance and time. Hosted by people actually there. Happening today.

What is NearUS, exactly?

NearUS is a location-based social app that shows you real events happening near you, right now — parties, pickup sports, live music, pop-ups, and more — on a live map instead of a scrolling feed.

Anyone can browse what's nearby, and anyone can host their own event in under a minute.

Is NearUS free to use?

Yes — NearUS is completely free to use. Browse the map, discover events, RSVP, and host your own, all at no cost.

Do I need to know people already to use it?

No. NearUS shows you events based on where you are, not who you already follow or which group chat you're in. You can open the app somewhere brand new and immediately see what's happening around you — and it's available to anyone, anywhere, not limited to one campus.

How is this different from Instagram, Snap Map, or other event apps?

Most social apps show you content ranked by an algorithm, from people who may not be near you, often after the moment has passed. NearUS is built around one job: showing you what's actually happening close by, right now, sorted by distance and time — not engagement.

Does NearUS share my location with other users?

No. Your device location is only used to show you events happening nearby — it's never shared with other users or displayed to anyone else. Events you create can be set to Public or Private depending on who you want to see them.

How do I host an event?

Open NearUS, tap Create Event, and fill in the details — title, location, time, and whether it's Public or Private. It goes live on the map immediately for people nearby to find.

Do I need to create an account?

Yes — creating an account is free and only takes a few seconds. It lets you RSVP to events, host your own, and stay in the loop on what's happening nearby.

How do I report an event or a user?

Every event and profile has a report option built in. Reports come straight to our team for review — you can also email us directly using the form below if something needs urgent attention.

Your city is happening right now.
